something new for me ……

Wordle: Read Write Poem 109

oh poop
i wrote a poem and the power went out … and lost it. Shall try again
Take two ….

her fertile mind asked the question
why was life so hard ?
why could it not be simple ?
why could she not easily get over the stones and hurdles in her life ?
she shouldered heavy thoughts about life and love

her fertile mind looks forward to the nights when she can think of him again

  1. I like the repeat on ‘fertile mind’, which has a witty self-referential edge here, and how the “mind” looks forwards (i.e. thinks about) being able to think of him “again.” A kind of denial of denial.

  3. I like the fertile mind watching *her* as a separate being, like a character in a novel or movie. “get over all this boring business and get back to the good stuff”

  4. I like how the poem poses a supply/demand problem between questions and thinking. The poem shows that too many questions, worries, can get in the way of thinking of others. The questions have to be exhausted before thoughts can come back.
